Steve has worked passionately for many years to ensure that the voice of all people, regardless of their disability is heard. Prior to becoming one of the owners and directors of Kountry Kerations, he was employed providing consultation to non-profit groups supporting self-advocacy for individuals in Mississippi. He is a highly sought after presenter at conferences and for consultation at programs throughout the country working towards teaching those with disabilities to learn to guide their service plan. Steve is highly knowledgeable about multiple resources related to providing services to persons with special needs and is himself, the role model for special needs, thus is empathetic to the challenges of caring for family members with disabilities. Steve's commitment to hearing the dreams and desires of individuals and guiding them to achieve their goals makes him a respectful and supportive provider of services to persons who have survived a TBI. (House Manager)

Ms Berta has been with the MILES Team now for going on two years. Berta came to MILES in search of  help for her son who has traumatic brain injury and as luck would have it, we needed her as much as she needed us! She brings to our world, already, much knowledge of caretaking of TBI/SCI along with others
with disabilities such as liver transplants.  Berta is the one of 13 children in her family. She loves them all and prays for them daily.
We are very blessed to have Ms Berta with the family at MILES. She is a true gift to all who meet her.
